The company Argentine Safari.com was founded in 1997 by Luis Bertone. The idea by that time was to advertise different hunting outfitters from the country and not to directly sell hunts.
Things quickly changed and our company started selling and organizing hunting trips, as a regular outfitter does.
In 2001 the fast growing business allowed the buy of the ranch Reserva La Colorada, in Province of La Pampa. The new ranch was a success and during the following years new species were introduced in order to expand our hunting offers: blackbucks, fallow deer, axis deer, water buffalo and several others were brought to this area and adapted perfectly.
Reserva La Colorada quickly became one of the most well known hunting ranches in Argentina.
In 2002 the new number 2 red deer in South America was taken in our new ranch. Since then, more than 50 top ten animals were taken in our operation.
The 2003 season finished with an increase of 50% in terms of number of clients and the company decided to invest the profits in a new ranch. The idea was to create a unique luxury hunting ranch in South America with the best trophy quality available in the country.
With that objective, 4,000 acres of land were bought in the middle of the Valley of Quehué, 25 miles south west from La Colorada, the older ranch. An architect begun designing the new lodge based on 2 bungalows with 2 rooms each and 1 bigger "club-house" built on top of a 12 feet tall sand dune, to act as a dinning and living room for the hunters. All built with the best wood brought from different places of Argentina and decorated with wood log-based furniture.
This project begun in August of 2003 and was finished in June 2004. The total constructed area is 3,600 square foot (400 square meters).
